David has practiced in the financial services business since 1996. In addition to working for well known insurance names like John Hancock and investment firms like A.G. Edwards & Sons, David has been affiliated with additional firms such as Raymond James Financial Services and Regal Investment Advisors. He launched his own registered investment advisory business in May of 2019, Bookman Bright, Inc. dba Bookman Bright Retirement Planning & Capital Management.
Over the years, David has also served as a partner in a personal and commercial lines property and casualty insurance agency as well as a partner in multiple real estate corporations.
He has a very strong background in business that he started building on at a very young age since his family was in business for themselves beginning in the late 1970’s.
Because of his unique business experience and background, David can easily separate himself from most “financial advisors”.

Jennifer Catalano
Client Operations Assistant
Jennifer Catalano is the Client Services Manager for Bookman Bright. Jennifer grew up in Upstate New York and graduated from Brockport State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Psychology. Jennifer moved to North Carolina 20 years ago and worked in Banking before joining Bookman Bright 7 years ago. Jennifer is very detailed oriented and enjoys meeting the needs and developing relationships with all of Bookman Bright’s Clients. Jennifer currently lives in Mooresville, NC with her husband and 2 children (3 if you count their very energetic puppy).
Lori Bass
Financial Planning Administrator
Lori Bass is the Financial Planning Administrator for Bookman Bright, Lori Grew up on Long Island in New York where she owned a Mortgage Company for many years before moving to North Caroline in 2008. Her background in Finance and Compliance and her love of seeing people achieve their financial goals has brought her to Bookman Bright. When not at the office Lori is traveling somewhere around the world! She currently lives in Mooresville, NC with her husband and son and enjoys the weeknds with their already grown children and grandbaby as well.
David Altshuler
Tax Accountant
David Altshuler is a tax accountant and owns and operates Integrated Bookkeeping & Tax Services. He is originally from southern California and moved to the area in 2002. He holds a bachelors degree from Cal State University Fullerton and has an MBA in finance from Capella University. He has been a CTEC registered tax preparer since 1993. One of Dave’s hobbies is woodworking, and his extensive collection of woodworking equipment in his garage proves it!
